We at Skillmate.ai brought our idea to life in November 2023 and officially launched our product in May 2024. After countless conversations with industry friends and thorough market research, we discovered the skyrocketing demand for freelancing. Forget the fears of AI and technology taking over jobs! We believe these are just tools to help us by automating repetitive tasks.

The Exciting Internship Journey

Let's dive into our thrilling internship program. We started this initiative to give real opportunities to students. We reached out to numerous freelancers and professionals eager to help. Did you know? According to a Hindustan Times report, India has 45,473 colleges with around 43.27 million students enrolled in higher education in 2021-22.

We received resumes from 87 developer profiles, 6 data researcher profiles, and 3 marketer profiles. Over six business days, we sent personalised emails to each candidate, asking about their skills, reasons for joining Skillmate, and their six-month vision. After several rounds of selection, we shortlisted a few candidates who were ready to learn, contribute, and grow. Successful interns will be offered full-time positions after six months.

So far, we have hired nine interns, with four currently active. Others left due to KPIs, PIPs, or unavailability as per their offer letters. We take this internship very seriously and expect the same level of dedication from our interns.
