As the founder of Skillmate, I understand how important it is to find skilled and energised individuals to join our team and help skillmate move forward. However, as a startup, it's challenging to afford all the resources we need right away. That's why we're introducing a 6-month internship program. This way, we can assess them for a minimum of 3 months and see if they are sincere, dedicated, and skilled enough to contribute to our vision and then, we start offering stipends based on their performance.

Running a startup is demanding and time-consuming, requiring intense focus from the first employees and founders. This makes it challenging to allocate time to train and manage new interns. That's why we look for leaders who take initiative, ownership, and lead their tasks forward.

We've created formal processes and structures to support our interns. These include role responsibilities, offer letters, termination/resignation letters, experience letters, legal terms and notices, employee welfare, GitHub access, Slack access, web email accounts, and onboarding/offboarding processes. This ensures you can focus on your primary responsibilities and understand what the company expects from your role, making the most of your internship experience.

We're highly focused on product development and shipping things quickly. We believe that with the right mentorship and direction, interns can show dedication and determination. No manager is needed to keep an eye on their progress unless there are technical delays. This allows interns to integrate into the team effectively and make meaningful contributions to product development.
